Launching ‘Girls Get Equal’ campaign for Plan International and UN Women.

The Approach

The Bulb led the programming and project management for a flagship event celebrating International Day of the Girl and launching Girls Get Equal, a global campaign demanding power, freedom and representation for girls and young women, produced by a partnership between UN Women and leading NGO, Plan International.

The Impact

  • The event brought together 500 of the world’s leading change-makers in the arts, business, government, entrepreneurship, science, sport and media to celebrate the future potential of girls and call for urgent action to support girls’ power everywhere.
  • The event was opened Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium and speakers included Paloma Faith, Cleo Wade, Refinery29’s Piera Gelardi, presenter Miquita Oliver and author and activist Chidera Eggerue aka The Slumflower.
