On the eve of the 7th official International Day of the Girl, Plan International, UN Women and leading youth activists from around the globe hosted the second annual Global Girls’ Summit in Brussels, Belgium. The event brought together 500 of the world’s leading change-makers in the arts, business, government, entrepreneurship, science, sport and media to celebrate the potential of girls and call for urgent action to support girls’ power everywhere. Speakers included Paloma Faith, Cleo Wade, Refinery29’s Piera Gelardi, presenter Miquita Oliver and author and activist Chidera Eggerue aka The Slumflower.
